The King Of Kings

“The King of kings, and Lord of lords,
With eyes as flame of fire,”
Descends with clouds and gleaming sword,
To purge His earth with war.
As lightning from the east doth flash,
So shall the Son of Man,
With truth and justice, evil crush,
And execute God’s plan.

“The Sun of Righteousness shall rise
With healing in His wings.”
Creation, hushed in rapt surprise,
In unison then sings:
“Praise ye the Lord, praise ye the Lord,”
From every heavenly height;
“Praise ye the Lord, ye sun and moon,
And all ye stars of light.”
The wilderness, as Eden, blooms,
And joy and gladness spring;
The voice of melody and thanks
Through all the world shall ring.
The mountains and the hills break forth,
The trees shall clap their hands;
Jehovah’s grace now floods the earth,
With peace in all the lands.

“For I create new heavens and earth,
The former things are past.”
All families, tongues, and tribes of men
In harmony at last.
The knowledge of the Lord shall fill
This world with righteousness;
Jesus, God’s Son, He’s Lord of all,
Will every man confess.
